Imja Lake is a glacial lake located in the Himalayan region of eastern Nepal at an altitude of 5,010 meters. The lake, which had a surface area of 0.74 km² in 1997, is found at the base of the lower Imja Glacier. The surrounding drainage area that feeds into the lake is 37.7 km², with glaciers covering over 72% of that area. The lake's water drains westward, eventually feeding into the Imja Khola, a major tributary of the Dudh Koshi river system.
